This article will briefly show you what a template is and how you can use it. Notice that it can only be created in the backend by your administrator, but you can use this article to learn how to create one in order to give your administrator as specific information as possible.
A template can be useful for example when you hold the same type of meetings, where you always need to type in certain information. By creating a template, you can save you and your colleagues time by writing the information once in the backend, which is then ready to be used in the frontend. A template also ensures that documents contain the same type of information every time.
You can use a template when you create a page. Go to the specific content area where you want to create it, and click 'New page'.
To find templates, click 'Settings'.
Choose your desired template from the list.
The text will now appear in the text field below.
Information that you need to give your administrator for creating a template in the backend
1) Name of template
2) Text in text field (for example, for a summary, it could be 'Participants' and 'Date')
3) Who should be able to use the template: Workgroups or/and departments.
A finished template can look like this:
It is up to you how much text you want to write in the template. Remember, the more 'standardinformation' you can write in the template, the more time you will save you and your colleagues.
