There are three types of permissions on the intranet, which can be used on all pages and folders in the content area. Permissions can be given on both user- and department level and you can choose whether the permissions should be inherited so they are the same on every page and folder under the main page. This minimizes the manual work.
As a starting point, it is more manageable for the content responsible to assign all users reader-permission to all areas, and afterwards work with the specific areas. In this way, you can be sure that everyone has access to the shared content.
Reader: Only has permission to read content and also download files from the intranet.
Editor: Can add and edit their own and others content on the areas on the intranet where they are assigned this permission
Owner: You automatically become owner, when you add content on the intranet. But, you can also assign others as owners of your content – multiple owners are possible. As owner, your contact information will be visible for others on the specific item. You can also get an overview of all your owned content under your user profile. On every item you own, you can set a revision date.
