Events

Events, like Posts and News is created from the feed at Home, Department or a Workgroup. Events has a title, description, content field and a frontpage image that can be added.

Events Page

The events page located in the left menu, gives users an overview of their organization's activities. The events page is broken into two sections: Upcoming events and Past events. The most recent events are displayed first, followed by future events sorted by month. Users can click on the 'Show declined' checkbox to view the events they have declined to attend.

Invitations and RSVP

When creating an event, users will have the ability to make it RSVP. This will ask invited colleagues to inform the event creator if they will either be attending or declining the event before a specific deadline. The event creator will receive a notification through the bell icon on the upper right hand of the page when the RSVP date is nearing.

Invited team members will receive a notification through the bell icon when the invite is sent. If the event is RSVP, invited users will also get a notification when the RSVP date is near.

Calendar integration

If the organization has integrated their Colibo service with Microsoft Outlook, invited team members will be able to have the event scheduled in their Outlook, Google and other iCal enabled calendars. Users will receive emails regarding any changes in the future.

NOTE: Certain Outlook event notifications may have a broken attachment with the message 'not supported calendar message.ics'. This message does not effect the functionality of the link. Opening the attachment will allow the user to add the event to their calendar as normal.
